Context

Depending on the game, the Pokédex can be a dedicated device, a phone application, or an interface for a research record. Entries can include a Pokémon’s number, type, appearance, and descriptive information.

Regional Pokédexes organize the Pokémon relevant to a particular region or adventure. The official Pokémon website also offers a searchable Pokédex.

Examples

  • After catching an unfamiliar Pokémon, a player can open its Pokédex entry to read about it.
