XP/EXP
Common abbreviations for experience points, a game resource used to measure progress and often advance a character’s level or abilities.
Context
Games can award experience for battles, quests, exploration, or other accomplishments. The amount needed for a new level and the benefits of gaining one depend on the game.
In Pokémon, experience contributes to a Pokémon’s progress toward higher levels. Individual games can also give familiar abbreviations special meanings within their stories.
