Context

His short film “The Backrooms (Found Footage)” helped bring a moving-camera interpretation of the Backrooms to a wide audience. His videos develop their own characters, organizations, and continuity within the wider internet setting.

I explore his work in my Backrooms introduction. His use of digital environments and restrained explanations is also relevant to my interests in worldbuilding and Fiction2Reality.

Examples

  • A camera operator can reveal an impossible space gradually by turning a corner or looking through a doorway, giving viewers the sense that they are discovering it with the character.
